The above image fIrst sparked my thoughts on warm and cool colour combinations. The brilliance of the deep red with the cool tones of the skin is a perfect example of this pallette in use. Well done to MAC cosmetics for this one.
Often warm and cool colours are placed into applications together to balance eachother out and create tension in the piece. Pictured above are examples of warm and cool colours working in harmony to create dynamic and interesting visuals. The images are predominately either warm or cool, with a splash of the other colour, to create greater visual interest.
